Akumal’s Recycling Program is Taking Off!

Vecinos de Akumal and CEA are launching a townwide recycling program to create a cleaner, greener community. The first step starts in Akumal Norte, and we need your help!

How It Works

Starting March 10, 2025, volunteers will visit homes and condos to gather data on household waste. This will help design an efficient recycling system before expanding to Akumal Pueblo.

Visit Schedule

• March 10–14: Casa Esperanza to Condos Del Sol
• March 17–21: Playa Blanca to Casa Aurora
• March 24–28: Gaugin to Casa Milagros
• March 31–April 4: Houses on the small roads

If you’re not in town, your property manager can provide the necessary info and know that volunteers will wear ID badges with CEA and Vecinos logos for easy identification.

Why It Matters

This program will reduce waste, improve recycling, and help protect Akumal’s environment. Every household’s participation makes a difference!
