Hekab Be Library: A Place for Education and Cultural Exchange in Akumal
Hekab Be Children’s Library in Akumal provides a critical space for local children aged 3–13 to enhance their education while fostering creativity and personal growth. What Happens at Hekab Be?
Open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays for staff, the library provides various programs to encourage learning and creativity. Each day offers a unique focus:
- Wednesday: Art and Yoga classes, fostering self-expression and mindfulness.
- Thursday: English language lessons that provide valuable skills for young learners.
- Daily Activities: Computer skills, storytelling, and games designed to make education both engaging and enjoyable.
The library is open to children aged 3–14 who demonstrate an interest in learning, with many parents volunteering to support the programs. For visiting families, Hekab Be provides an opportunity for their children to join in, creating a meaningful way to connect with the local community.
